Kaylee Tremel ~ Miss Teen Rodeo Iowa 2018
Picture
Kaylee Tremel is the 18 year old daughter of Todd and Kerri Tremel. She is from the small town of Earling, IA. Kaylee is a freshman NCTA in Curtis, NE and plans to major in Animal Science and Ag Business.
Kaylee absolutely loves horses and rodeo. She started riding at the age of two and attended her first rodeo that year too. Kaylee spends most of her time with her horses: Morgan, Dakota, and Skarlet. She also enjoys training them and riding with her siblings. Her favorite seasons are rodeo season and branding season! Every year she goes out to Nebraska and brands calves with her family friends, the Pieper’s. She absolutely loves ranching and hopes to have a ranch of her own someday. When she’s not ranching or with her horses she loves helping her dad on the farm. She helps vaccinate pigs and runs the farm operations as her dad’s “hired woman”. She also is a member of the FFA, Boyer Rooters 4-H club, Boyer Valley Drill Team, and is involved in Drama, Band, Vacation Bible School, and serves as a St. Patrick’s Religious Education Teacher. She enjoys riding horses, rodeo, ranching, listening to her favorite artists Cody Johnson, Aaron Watson, and Shotgun Rider, drawing, and helping her dad on the farm.
“I absolutely love the western way of life and it is such an honor to hold the title of Miss Teen Rodeo Iowa. I am truly lucky and blessed to be able to represent what I love and the great state of Iowa. Rodeo isn’t just a sport, it’s a lifestyle that dates back to the Old West and ranching. There is truly no other sport that can lay claim to having roots that go back into the West. It is truly amazing that rodeo embraced what cowboys used to do every single day and turned it into a sport that is not only interesting, but exciting as well. My goal as Miss Teen Rodeo Iowa is to get all generations involved and to try and give them a taste of this amazing lifestyle. There’s a cowboy and cowgirl in everyone and if I can be the one to show them their inner cowboy or cowgirl, then my goal is fulfilled.”
