Board of Directors

nMiss Rodeo Iowa, Inc. is governed by a nine member Board of Directors. The board meets prior to the Miss Rodeo Iowa Coronation Celebration and the Miss Rodeo Iowa Las Vegas Send-off event, as well as via phone conference every month.

Formal Complaint / Grievance Process


Any complaint that is filed regarding Miss Rodeo Iowa Incorporated operations and pageant must adhere to the following:

All complaints must be submitted in writing within one week of the event taken place.
Complaints must include the name, address and phone number of the person filing the complaint.
The complaint must include as much detail and facts about the subject in order for the appropriate action to be taken.
Complaints must be submitted to:

Complaints must be signed and dated.
If a response to the complaint is desired, the letter must indicate so.
Any complaints that do not follow the above process will be classified as invalid. 


Miss Rodeo Iowa, Inc. follow up: 
All complaints will be reviewed by the Miss Rodeo Iowa board of directors
A Miss Rodeo Iowa board member will be assigned to research and gather information about the complaint.
All parties involved will be notified about the complaint and given the opportunity to provide a response.
A time-frame will be established for the complaint to be addressed.
The findings will be reported back to the Miss Rodeo Iowa board of directors.
The Miss Rodeo Iowa board of directors representative will report back to all parties.
A decision will be sent to all parties, signed and dated by the Miss Rodeo Iowa board of director assigned to the complaint.


Miss Rodeo Iowa, Corp. Granted 501(c)3 Designation

September 12, 2014

Irwin, Iowa– Miss Rodeo Iowa, Corp. is proud to announce it is now officially a public charity with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code. Contributions donated to Miss Rodeo Iowa, Corp. are fully tax-deductible. Miss Rodeo Iowa, Corp. is also now eligible to apply for grants, which will further broaden its access to resources and strengthen its ability to enhance scholarship opportunities for contestants and title holders.

“Obtaining 501(c)(3) status is a major step forward for Miss Rodeo Iowa, Corp.” remarked President Doug Dall. “This opens many doors for us to realize our goals as a charitable educational organization which provides scholarship opportunities for young women who possess a deep appreciation of Iowa’s rich agricultural and Western heritage.”

Miss Rodeo Iowa, Corp. strives to fulfill its mission to promote rodeo and agriculture by selecting a young lady to serve as an official spokesperson for the sport of rodeo, to provide educational scholarships and to select a qualified representative for the Miss Rodeo America pageant. They are dedicated to providing a quality pageant and title holder experience for the young ladies who participate in the program. It is the desire of Miss Rodeo Iowa, Corp. for these young ladies to gain life skills through pageant competition including enhancing their public speaking, time management and horsemanship skills and to open doors for future careers.

Miss Rodeo Iowa, Corp. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit which exists to conduct a rodeo related pageant to select a young lady to serve as an official spokesperson for the sport of rodeo, to provide educational scholarships and to select a qualified representative to compete in the Miss Rodeo America pageant. The organization will create partnerships with rodeo committees, equine related organizations, corporations, and community organizations to provide opportunities for Miss Rodeo Iowa, Miss Teen Rodeo Iowa and Miss Jr. Rodeo Iowa to make appearances to promote rodeo and agriculture.

The IRS letter granting Miss Rodeo Iowa, Corp. its 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status is available upon request. The Miss Rodeo Iowa titleholders are available to appear at your event.  They are not limited to rodeo or equine events!
Parades, conventions, award banquets and other specialty events all benefit from an appearance from one or all of the Miss Rodeo Iowa titleholders. To schedule an appearance by a titleholder please contact Jordanne Fry.
