Brittany Gunn ~ Miss Rodeo Iowa 2020-2021

Picture
Jefferson, Iowa native, Brittany Gunn, has been chosen to serve as Miss Rodeo Iowa 2020-2021. Brittany grew up on a small family farm, growing corn and soybeans as well as raising hogs and cattle.

She is very appreciative of her farm girl roots, where she learned hard work, determination, resilience and how to offer a helping hand. She was involved in 4-H showing horses, rabbits, and cattle. As a small child she always had a passion for horses and saved pop can redemption money to purchase her first pony.

Brittany received her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Graceland University in Lamoni, IA with an emphasis in Psychology and Human Services. After graduating Cum Laude from Graceland University, Brittany found herself enjoying her job as a social worker in her community.

“I am very passionate about helping others and representing the things I love. Iowa has long been known for agriculture, as it's a top egg, cattle, corn and hog producing state. Iowa is also very rich in rodeo and the western heritage. I am very honored to be representing Iowa cowboys and cowgirls, the PRCA and the Miss Rodeo Iowa Organization within this next year. My mission is to offer a helping hand wherever I can.

As Miss Rodeo Iowa I want to not only promote Iowa agriculture, rodeo, and the PRCA but remind all individuals in the wake of life that your dreams are possible no matter how big or small, it just might take some hard work to get there.  Due to a global pandemic, Brittany continues to promote the sport of rodeo through virtual videos with contestants, rodeo personnel, current and previous rodeo queens as well as sharing fun facts about the sport of rodeo. Make sure you follow her on her Facebook page, Brittany Gunn - Miss Rodeo Iowa 2020 for future interviews and her endeavors as Miss Rodeo Iowa.

As Miss Rodeo Iowa, Brittany will travel approximately 30,000 miles both in and out of the state. Through her travels she will focus on promoting Iowa agricultural, rodeo & educational opportunities for young women. During her reign she will attend rodeos, fairs and parades, as well as visit schools, hospitals and the elderly. Brittany will conduct radio, television and newspaper interviews across the nation. In December of 2021, she will represent Iowa at the Miss Rodeo America Pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada. During this pageant, Brittany will have the opportunity to vie for the coveted Miss Rodeo America title along with over $100,000 in educational
