Who is Miss Rodeo Iowa?
Miss Rodeo Iowa is the ideal Western American young woman. She wishes to further promote the sport of Rodeo. While representing Iowa during her reign, her travels will take her to all areas of the state and to many other states as well. She will be working hard to promote the state's Western way of life. At the end of her reign she will have the opportunity to represent Iowa in the Miss Rodeo America Pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Miss Rodeo Iowa Pageant is not a beauty contest. However it does strive to find a
representative who will act, speak and dress in a manner that is consistent with the prestige the title deserves.
What does Miss Rodeo Iowa do during her reign?
Miss Rodeo Iowa is a good will ambassador who travels throughout the state and nation promoting all of the PRCA Rodeos sanctioned in Iowa and the Western way of life. During her reign she will make appearances in parades, at rodeos, schools, nursing homes and with local and state dignitaries. She will be asked to speak to a variety of audiences including radio and television interviews and presentations to civic groups. Her travels will criss-cross that state and she will also make appearances at out-of-state rodeos
